Barbershop is close harmony four part unaccompanied singing. The melody is usually sung by the lead with harmonies coming from the other three parts although occasional brief passages may be sung by fewer than four voice parts.

Do I need to be able to read music?
No. Whilst it can be an advantage, it is not uncommon for choruses to have a large number of their members unable to read music.
How do I learn the songs?
We provide music and teach CD's which make learning so much easier. In addition, new members are assigned a Buddy to help them through ther initial stages.
Will all the songs be new to me?
Although a few may be, our repertoire covers a whole range, from upbeat to romantic ballads which are tailored to cater for all tastes. Many of these songs are well known and have stayed popular over the years.
How do I join the chorus?
Simply contact us by e-mail or phone and come along for an evening. You will be made very welcome and given a chance to sing but there's no pressure to do so if you would prefer to simply listen. If you enjoy it our membership secretary will give you further details.
Can I book your chorus or a smaller group for an event?
Yes, of course you can. Go to 'Contact Us' on this website for more information about who to contact.
