Some Information About Us
So,
what are Chelmsford Star all about?

Well, it’s
all about having a great time with a friendly bunch of guys really but you are probably
looking for a more comprehensive answer to that question.
Chelmsford
Star Barbershop Harmony Club are a group of 30 plus men who meet every Monday
to rehearse and sing the sort of songs we most enjoy singing. Nothing beats the sound of ‘a capella’
four-part harmony sung in the Barbershop style. ‘A capella’? It simply
means ‘without accompaniment’.
We sing at
many private and public shows throughout the year, both indoors and out. Our main purpose is to take our style of
music to as many different places as we can – we want you to share in
the pleasure we derive from our shows.
If you are not sure that your particular venue is appropriate, give us a
call anyway – you’d be surprised at some of the unusual places where we have
performed. We also sing in
competitions from time to time.
We are available for
bookings and you can e-mail us for further details. Just click on ‘Contact Us’ to find out where to get all the
necessary information, totally without obligation.
So, if your appetite has
been whetted and you think you might like to become a barbershop singer, then
click on ‘Join Us’ for more information.
